After considering several places to go this year for our spring vacation, we decided on Asheville, NC. We had never been there before and were amazed at how much Asheville had to offer for the whole family.
We were so looking foward to the trip that even 12 1/2 hours in the car didn't dampen our enthusiasm. We managed to arrive in Asheville a little after 10 pm and after checking into our hotel, we went out for something to eat. Luckily we had three restaurants right across the street.
(Despite the long drive, Ray and Cassidy were very happy to be in Asheville)

The next morning we headed out to the Biltmore Estate, unfortunately we got a little lost...

but we finally arrived at The Biltmore Estate

Unfortunately we could not take pictures inside the house, but I took lots of photos of the gardens. But before we headed to the gardens, we decided to have some lunch in the restaurant that was once the stables. In fact our table was in what was once a horse stall.

We had a wonderful rotisserie chicken breast with mashed potatoes and a mix of sauteed zuchinni and squash. We were so hungry and the food was so good, that we had almost finished eating before I remembered to take a photo of the dishes.
We also indulged ourselves on some delicious peanut butter pie for dessert.
I have so many more pictures to share so come back for Part 2 and see more of the beautiful Biltmore Estate and the rest of Asheville, NC. As always your comments are welcome so feel free to drop me a line and tell me what's on your mind. Thanks for stopping by and come back soon.
