Happy New Year from The Loft!!!

How we spent our Christmas vacation!


For the second year in a row we spent Christmas at the Disney Resort at Vero Beach.  We arrived on Christmas Eve and as usual the resort looked very festive

 

 

 

Christmas Day was beautiful and sunny, and we spent the whole day on the beach

 

 

 

During our vacation we also played some mini golf

 

 

And we took time to admire the resort staff's annual Gingerbread house competition.  This years theme was Hawaii, in celebration of Disney's newest resort there.

 

We all had a great time and was sorry to have to go home.  Our time there always seems to go by so fast.

Ligustrum Leaf

My photo today is of something we see everyday, but rarely look at closely.  The veins that run through an ordinary leaf remind me of an ariel map, depicting the neighborhoods, roads and highways that make up our world.

Our Christmas Vacation

The holidays are always a time for us to be at home and spend time together as a family, but this year we decided to go away for the holidays.  When we planned our beach vacation, we hoped our normally mild winters in Florida would ring true, but as our trip got closer the weather got colder.  Fortunately for us, it warmed up and we had wonderful weather for all but one day during our time at Disney's Vero Beach resort.
